Since 2021, Sustainable Football has been working with clubs across the pyramid to make football more sustainable.
Founded by Thom Rawson, Sustainable Football provides direct support to football organisations including specialist sustainability advisory, strategy development and programme delivery, as well as offering tools, guidance and research.
Thom Rawson is a football-sustainability expert who has featured on BBC Sport, Sky, The Daily Mirror and The Price of Football podcast, guest lectured for the Football Business Academy’s Masters Program, and presented to the Johan Cruyff Institute.
Thom is the founder of Sustainable Football, which works across the football pyramid to deliver specialist sustainability support. He lead the development of the environmental sustainability campaign at English Premier League club Wolves, called ‘One Pack, One Planet’.
In 2021 became the first Chief Sustainability Officer in English football with Hanwell Town FC, before becoming Head of Sustainability with football-environmental charity Football For Future.
Thom is an established sustainability leader with a decade of professional experience across sustainable transport and infrastructure, and was named among edie’s 30 under 30 Class of 2020 for Sustainability Leaders.
